Drivers
Only ETSI GSM 07.07 Compatible Phones work with FireText, if you are unsure please check with your manufacturer's website.
You must connect your mobile phone to your pc and install the appropriate drivers before using FireText.
1Download and install the latest FireText Software. 2From the Android App Market, download the FireText Droid Connector App 3Start FireTextDroid after installed 4Make note of the IP address returned by the App 5Hit next and FireTextDroid will be waiting for incoming connections (only first conection is accepted) 6Your Android phone does not need the usb cable to be connected! Make sure you are running via wifi not 3G as most carriers don't allow the 3G connection 7Goto Preferences / Device within the FireText Administrator Software 8Choose ANDROID connection from the Device Type Box, set the same IP address on the primary address field that you made note of in step 4 from the FireTextDroid application 9Choose Apply then OK 10At the main screen choose FILE/START and the device should be online at the bottom of the screen!

1Plug in your phone to the computer and choose “Phone mode” at the phone. 2Choose “No, not this time” when prompted to connect to Windows Update. 3Choose “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”. 4Click “Include this location in the search” and browse for the driver location. You need to repeat these steps several times for USB WMC Data Modem, USB WMC Modem, USB WMC OBEX Interface, USB WMC Device Management, USB Ethernet Emulation (WDM) and USB Ethernet Emulation (for Networking Device).
