Requirements for Running FireText
A cell phone connected to a Microsoft Windows based computer running FireText, the cell phone needs to be one of the models listed below. FireText will use the connected cell phone as a transmitter to send and receive text messages, but no messages are stored within the phone.
1You will need a cell phone model listed below or a ETSI GSM 07.07 Compatible Phone
2You will need the phone's USB cable or enabled bluetooth communication between the phone and the computer with the correct USB Modem Driver Installed, please check with your manufacturer's website for specifications or download the drivers below, these drivers must be installed before using FireText.

If you do not have or wish to use a GSM plan, you may want to consider FireText's shortcode option. See Extreme Suite Option below.Any of the following ETSI GSM 07.07 based cell phone models should be compatible to be connected to your FireText computer, the following list has been updated July, 2010.

Requirements for Shortcode & FireText Extreme Suite
FireText works with any shortcode using with SMPP client v3.3 and v3.4 and HTTP SMS GATEWAY Protocol to receive MO and send MT texts, if you have your own shortcode FireText can connect to it. Please email us at

The process for getting setup on a shortcode is easy.
1Purchase FireText Extreme Suite Package
2Select your prepaid package of text messages and keyword
3You are supplied a license and a login and password to enter in your FireText Software
4That's it! You are ready for your campaign
Drivers
Only ETSI GSM 07.07 Compatible Phones work with FireText, if you are unsure please check with your manufacturer's website.
You must connect your mobile phone to your pc and install the appropriate drivers before using FireText.

1Plug in your phone to the computer and choose “Phone mode” at the phone. 2Choose “No, not this time” when prompted to connect to Windows Update. 3Choose “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”. 4Click “Include this location in the search” and browse for the driver location. You need to repeat these steps several times for USB WMC Data Modem, USB WMC Modem, USB WMC OBEX Interface, USB WMC Device Management, USB Ethernet Emulation (WDM) and USB Ethernet Emulation (for Networking Device). This page contains information on configuring your USB Modem settings within your FireText / Device Menu.
If you haven't already, you'll need to install FireText and install your USB Modem manufacturer's drivers which are either available directly through the manufacturer, or from our Drivers Page.

SMS Centre: CHECKED, within the Box add your SMS Centre #, You can find your SMS # by choosing TEST Current Port and within the Device Window Log, you will see "AT+CSCA?+CSCA: "010438000006106",129".... 010438000006106 would be your number that you would enter in this box.
